Mal Chia

Mal is an award-winning marketing and ecommerce leader with over 20 years marketing experience both around Australia and abroad.

As the CMO at Ryderwear, he led a 4X revenue growth in 2 years. Before this, he was an early-stage member of the Uber team, launching and scaling the brand nationally before doing the same for UberEATS.

As the principal of Mal Chia Consulting, he advises high growth ecommerce brands with a combined annual revenue over $150m.

An early adopter of digital marketing, Mal has a deep understanding of every channel and how they can work together to deliver exceptional results by taking a data-led approach to problem solving.

Mal advises and mentors numerous startups and scale ups, having won multiple awards.

 

Paul Waddy

Paul is an experienced ecommerce executive and adviser with more than 15 years experience in omnichannel retail. Paul has held various positions including Head of Operations at Showpo, CEO of The Horse, and is also the principal of Paul Waddy Advisory, in which he advises some of Australia’s leading online retailers.

Paul is a member of the Advisory Council of the National Online Retail Association, and in 2021 was named No. 2 in the Top 50 People in Ecommerce, by Inside Retail.

Paul is a contributor to Smart Company on the topic of ecommerce, and is also the author of the global editions of Shopify for Dummies, and Selling Online for Dummies, due for release in February 2021.

Andrew Sabatino

Andrew has extensive marketing experience both in Australia and the UK, specialising in strategy development, branding and customer experience.

He led Guide Dogs SA/NT to experience significant revenue growth, where annual income increased from $1m to $9m over seven years. In 2016 Andrew was part of a team that won a commercial tender to launch a social enterprise for Guide Dogs through building a Pet Hotel at the Adelaide Airport lifting revenue further.

Due to his leadership in fundraising, Andrew was asked to chair the Guide Dogs Australia Fundraising Committee where annual income grew from $53m to $87m over 4 years.

He is also a Co-Founder and Director of Donor Republic, Australia’s leading Fundraising agency working with over 100 NFP’s to deliver sustainable fundraising programs.

James Byrne

James has developed a range of experience managing clients, projects and relationships through a range of roles in agencies, within government and on the brand side.

As General Manager, James oversees the day-to-day operations and manages all business development for the agency.
